SIGMA THETA TAU INTERNATIONAL
NU MU CHAPTER SCHOLARSHIP
Scholarships are awarded based on predetermined criteria, which include academic performance, personal and professional goals, commitment, and involvement in professional organizations and scholarly activities to advance the profession of nursing.
Enrolled in a Baccalaureate Program in Nursing at Cal State LA (Traditional BSN, ABSN, ADN to BSN, or RN-BSN) or
Enrolled in the Graduate Program in Nursing at Cal State LA or
Enrolled in a post-graduate or doctoral program
Please note: Baccalaureate and Graduate students in the program at Cal State LA are not required to be members of Sigma Theta Tau Nu Mu Chapter to apply for a scholarship award. However, preference will be given to members. Graduate, Doctoral and post-graduate candidates taking course work at other institutions must be members of the Nu Mu Chapter in order to be considered for a scholarship award. Those applicants who wish to reapply for a scholarship award must resubmit an application with the required supporting documentation. Prior recipients of the award are NOT eligible to apply.
□ Submit a written statement of personal and professional goals in nursing.
□ Submit letters of recommendation from (2) faculty members or (1) faculty member and (1) professional associate.
□ Submit resume or curriculum vitae.
□ Submit transcripts from all academic institutions attended if other than Cal State LA*.
*Transcripts are required for graduate, post-graduate, and doctorate students who are Nu Mu members applying for scholarship awards that will be used at other institutions. Baccalaureate and graduate students currently enrolled at Cal State LA need to submit transcripts (unofficial from GET indicating current Cal State LA GPA).
Please note: For the application to be reviewed, all of the above components must be submitted as a complete packet.
